Infographics

Infographics are graphic representations of information, data, and knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly.

I have just recently have been dabbling into the infographics. I usually use Canva for doing pretty much any type of creating when it comes to my classroom. I actually did not know anything about the 3 options with looking at to create our infographics.

Easel.ly

This one, I didn’t like right away. I don’t know if it was the look of everything or just right away wanting to get started with creating. I didn’t really have a idea in mind when I was just looking at the different resources. I just wanted to see what would go best off of look as well as accessibility. I think this one was very difficult for me when moving around.

Piktochart

At first glance, I thought this one was the best. I felt that it is very comparable to Canva, which I normally use. I thought since I was comfortable with this one I would use it for creating my infographic. Once I started, I had issues with editing charts. It would not let me change any text. I tried multiple infographic templates to go off of. I also tried to create my own. When all the didn’t work, I decided to changed to a different resource.

Infogram

I did like this resource as well. I originally started with Piktochart but then changed to Infogram when the other one did note work for me. I really like the different aspects with changing charts. You can change the chart once you made it to figure out what works best for your numbers and how our readers will receive the graphics. I like how you can follow a theme with adding colors. It is very similar to Canva as well for that aspect. I did not like that I would have to upgrade to download my infographic.

Overall I would probably use Infogram again if I didn’t use Canva.

  1. Courtney,

Infogram stumped me at first, because when I signed up there were only four templates to choose from? But then once you were in, there were more? But I totally get what you’re saying about customization. I went with Piktochart because I liked the Canva aspect as well, and stayed because you couldn’t really change much and that made it easy on my “squirrel!” ADHD brain. 🤣🤣

Easel.Ly was the fastest no I’ve given one of our assigned websites. Oof that was a doozy.

    Love your infographic! It moves!

  2. Hi Courtney, love the infographic! I really liked infogr.am when I was playing around with it but unfortunately, I didn't give myself enough time for the assignment. I have it bookmarked so I can go back and play with it because when I was doing my social media assignment, I found this fantastic FB page that used infographics to spread information to the community. It was such a great idea and I aspire to reach that level! Thanks for sharing.
